Case Study: OpenShift Backup and Recovery in a Multi-Cloud World

Sopra Steria, one of Europe’s largest IT firms, runs Kubernetes and OpenShift across a variety of environments including VMware, AWS, OVH, and OpenStack. This talk will cover their experience of running stateful applications in a Container-as-a-Service for internal use and their customers, including the French government, and how they solved challenges around data management for stateful cloud-native applications in a multi-cloud world. This talk will also cover how a cloud-native data management approach allowed their DevOps teams to scale and tackled roadblocks that had previously resulted in suboptimal data protection for Kubernetes.
